Paula Thijs

Dr Paula Thijs (she/her) is a senior researcher. She collaborated on the study Domestic Distance and Adoption and conducted research on gender stereotypes and choices in working, caring and learning among young adults for the project Work.and.the.Future. She also conducted research with Ipsos I&O on online aggression and violence against women in politics.

Paula did the bachelor's degree in Sociology and the research master's in Social and Cultural Sciences at Radboud University. In 2019, she obtained her PhD on a study of changes in culturally conservative attitudes in the Netherlands and Europe.

Thematic expertise: gender norms and stereotypes, work-care distribution, gender inequality in the labour market and politics, online hatred and violence against women in leadership positions, conservatism, social inequality, intersectionality, diversity and inclusion, education and youth.
