Karin is a design historian with expertise in private and design archives. As of 1 July 2026, she has been a member of the board of the Royal Association of Archivists of the Netherlands (KVAN), where she represents the interests of private archives.
As Head of Archives & Collections at Vlisco, she was responsible for the transformation and digitisation of the extensive company archive and textile collections. She was also a lecturer at the Utrecht School of the Arts. Previously, she worked as director at the Dutch Archive for Graphic Designers and as an independent consultant and researcher in the archives and heritage sector.
