Ingrid Doorten

Dr. Ingrid Doorten is Policy Advisor for Collection and Research. She was project leader of Atria's substudy for research Domestic Abandonment and Adoption. She is also working on the Economic Resilience of Women project and was previously project leader of the Work.and.the.Future project.

Ingrid studied Sociology at the University of Groningen, specialising in Education and Family. In 2008, she obtained her PhD from Utrecht University with a study on the division of labour in Dutch households. From 2005, she worked as a (senior) policy advisor for the Council for Public Health and Society (RVS) and both its legal predecessors RMO and RVZ.

Thematic expertise: gender equality, division of labour-care, the wage gap, part-time work, leave arrangements, informal care, care sector.
