What did the research entail?
Atria and the Verwey-Jonker Institute conducted exploratory research into promising prevention practices aimed at breaking the intergenerational transmission of violence in families in the Netherlands and Europe.
In interviews with local policymakers and professionals, we asked whether they share the conclusions of the research report, and what they need to get started with programmatic prevention policies. Based on this, a Handbook was made for local policymakers and professionals.
What was the aim of the study?
To investigate how to prevent intergenerational transmission of violence in families in the Netherlands and Europe and which prevention practices are promising.
Information and inspiration to get started and apply the findings in policy, counselling and educational practice
