How can we ensure a sustainable future for a wide range of bottom-up, community-rooted archives? Historians, as key users of collections held by institutions such as Atria, the Central Bureau for Genealogy, the Heritage Centre for Dutch Monastic Life, the IISG, the Kreukelcollectief and the Muslim Archive, are invited to this session to contribute their thoughts on the future of emancipatory archives and their own role within them.
